What You’ll Do:
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in protecting the Bank’s infrastructure and data by:
- Fortifying Defences: Implement, maintain, and optimize advanced cybersecurity systems, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), proxy servers, and email filtering systems
- Securing Connectivity: Configure and monitor secure VPN tunnels
- Threat Detection: Manage SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms to detect and respond to security incidents
- Endpoint Protection: Deploy and manage robust endpoint security solutions
- Proactive Scanning: Perform vulnerability assessments and generate detailed reports
- System Hardening: Strengthen the security of servers and other systems through best-practice hardening techniques
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Cooperate with the IT Helpdesk to investigate and resolve security-related issues
What You Bring:
- Education: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IPS
- Security Expertise: Deep understanding of information security principles
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Innovative Spirit: Passion for learning and challenging yourself with new technologies
- Additional Skills: Experience with the following will be considered an advantage:
– Email filtering systems
– Checkpoint and Cisco Systems
– SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms
– Cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and online collaboration tools - Language Proficiency: Fluent in Greek and/or English (verbal and written)
